Raffles
An option that yields great results without much investment from you is hosting a raffle. This isn’t a new idea, but you can try some of these innovative approaches to getting more people interested. A 50/50 raffle is the most well-known type and just splits the money between your organization and a winner. A balloon raffle is a fun way to get people involved by having them pop balloons to retrieve their tickets. Finally, you could host a potluck raffle where people vote on their favorite dishes by purchasing raffle tickets. Because raffles require little investment from you, you can even use a raffle as an add-on activity for another fundraising event that you’re hosting.
T-Shirts
A t-shirt fundraiser offers twice the benefits — they help you raise money and market your cause or organization. You’ll add your logo and slogan to a t-shirt and people who contribute to your cause will receive it as a thank you for their involvement. When people wear the shirt in your community, more people will be interested in your mission and want to participate as well.
Crowdfunding
Crowdfunding is an idea that merges social media into your fundraising efforts. There are a few websites to choose from to host your crowdfunding efforts. Once you get the page set up, you’ll then promote it using your social media platforms. If the fundraiser itself has a social media presence or if each team member is sharing the website on their pages, or both; it’s a quick way to spread the message. In addition, crowdfunding pages make it incredibly simple for people to contribute to your cause. They’ll usually just have to choose an amount and use their credit card to give.
